April 20 Virtual Post Meeting

This meeting will a be panel discussion on "Keys to Career Success" with a panel of representatives from the Large Business, Small Business, Academia, Local Government and the Military career areas. The target audience is Post Young Professional (YP), Military and other members interested in getting ideas to help with their career planning. Each panelist will provide a short presentation on what contributed to their success and how their membership in SAME helped. After the panelists presentations, there will be open discussion with the attendees on questions and issues they may have with their careers.

Our panelists for the meeting will be:

• Large Business - YP Victoria Hernandez, Executive Advisor, Jacobs
• Small Business - Michele Torres, President, HFS Company
• Academia - Dr. Pat Suermann, Interim Dean College of Architecture, Texas A&M University
• Local Government - Sam Hutchins, F.SAME, City of San Antonio Piublic Works
• Military - YP Capt Arpan Patel, USAF, AFCEC-East and student at University of Texas at Austin (a graduate of the SAME LDP and also a candidate for SAME BOD Director in this year's SAME Elections)

Glen Turney, F.SAME, our Post Fellows Director will serve as the panel moderator.

Other senior Post members attending will also help with answering audience questions and share their ideas on career tips.

1. This virtual meeting is FREE .
2. The DEADLINE for reservations is Tuesday, April 19, by 12 noon (CDT) or until space runs out.
3. Attendance is limited so you do NEED TO MAKE RESERVATION(s) for the meeting.

CANCELLATIONS

You can cancel your reservation or send a substitute for reservation(s) by notifying samesatx@gmail.com.

If sending a substitute, please be sure to include the correct email address for the substitute so we can provide them the link to the meeting.

1. You will be sent the link to the Zoom meeting to the email address you entered when you made your meeting reservation a few days before the meeting
2. We will post a link to the recording of the meeting at our website following the meeting.
